Subscriptions for Mollie
A feature that has been long requested, and I’m happy to announce it is finally here: you can now set up and receive recurring payments on your Craft CMS website through my Mollie Payments plugin.
Subscriptions
Mollie calls recurring payments “subscriptions,” and that API is now available in the plugin.
In summary, you can create a payment form with any number of custom fields, have the user pick an amount, and after the initial payment, a subscription will be created based on the interval you define. The user will then be charged that same amount every X number of days, months, every year—whatever you’d like.
This opens the door to things like recurring donations, membership payments, etc.
Managing Subscriptions
This update also includes the option to set up a self-service page where users can manage and cancel their own subscriptions, should they wish to do so. That page lives at a URL you can define and can use a template you control, ensuring it provides a seamless experience with the rest of the website.
To authenticate a user, you can use a Craft user, or the plugin can send them an email to the address they started the subscription with—you can, of course, customize that email as well.
If you’re looking for a solution to add Mollie’s recurring payments to your Craft CMS project, make sure you give this update a look!
You can find detailed documentation on how to set things up and how to allow users to manage their subscriptions.
Should you run into any issues or have a case that doesn’t quite fit, but you’d like to have a chat about, feel free to get in touch—I’m happy to help you out.
